We've got a list dedicated to the easy platinum trophies on PlayStation. However, today we wanted to look at the most boring platinum trophies in easy games that become a bit of a nightmare to earn.

Four easy platinum trophies that become boring to earn on PS5

Let us start this off by stating that we don't think any of these games are inherently bad, in fact, quite the opposite. Most of these games are incredible and are beloved, not only by the TrueTrophies team of Editor Kes and Staff Writers Sean and Lee, but by you guys as well.

However, when it comes to hunting down the platinum trophy in each of these titles, it can turn into quite the slog. Even though their platinums are easy to earn, the repetitive nature or sheer volume of collectibles you have to contend with make for quite the headache.

So, let's check out the most boring PS5 platinum trophies.

Hogwarts Legacy

  • Developer: Avalanche Software
  • Release Date: February 10, 2023
  • Is it on PS Plus? No
Hogwarts Legacy is a fantastic game, there is so much to do and see in this magical world that you'll be entertained for hours. The story is engaging and the characters are all rendering. You'll have a Bombarda blast as you explore every nook and cranny that Hogwarts Legacy has to offer. However, trophy hunters will quickly realize after playing the game for a prolonged period that the platinum trophy is going to be a tiring journey to earn.

The Hogwarts Legacy trophies are filled with collectibles, like an obscene amount of collectibles. You've got hundreds of Revelio Pages to uncover, 95 Merlin trials to complete, butterflies to hunt down, Collection Chest to discover, balloons to pop, and beasts to breed. It's a ridiculous and lengthy set of tasks that become quite boring the longer you go on.

We haven't even mentioned that you need to replay the game at least three times and reach the 'Map Chamber' with each of the different houses. So, when it comes down to it, we're not all that surprised that the platinum trophy 'Trophy Triumph' only has a completion rate of 2.10% on PSN. Despite the trophy list technically being very easy to work through, it's an absolute slog once you've finished all the main story missions and only have collectibles left to contend with.

Disney Dreamlight Valley

  • Developer: Gameloft
  • Release Date: December 5, 2023
  • Is it on PS Plus? No
Disney Dreamlight Valley is another game that is filled with charm, whimsy, and magical moments that will keep you hooked for a long time. You'll build yourself a bustling valley by helping out many different Disney characters with their errands, cleaning up the mess on the island, and cultivating your crops to make lush meals or sell them for a profit.

The Disney Dreamlight Valley trophies are also very easy to earn, they will just take a tremendous amount of time. But hey, at least the game is no longer on our unobtainable PS5 platinum tropies guide! The main offending trophy is 'Thorn Cleaner' which tasks you with clearing out 3000 Night Thorns in a single playthrough. The issue is that there are nowhere near that many in the game and only eight grow back each day. So, to grab this trophy you're looking at months of playing the game every day before this bronze beauty pops. Now that's a slog.

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise to learn that the platinum trophy 'Dreamlight Master' has an overall completion rate of 0.40% on PSN. So, despite being a relatively easy platinum to earn, it seems many players didn't have the patience to keep up with the time-consuming tasks at hand.

Marvel's Avengers

  • Developer: Crystal Dynamics
  • Release Date: March 18, 2021
  • Is it on PS Plus? No
Marvel's Avengers received a lot of criticism at launch for being a half-assed microtransaction-riddled mess... and people weren't wrong. Thankfully, Crystal Dynamics did push out a multitude of improvements and free content to try and apologize for the disaster that the game was. On some levels, the game did become somewhat enjoyable and I even found myself having a lot of fun playing as Black Panther. However, the Marvel's Avengers trophies are still a boring and repetitive nightmare to work through, even if it is an easy list all in all.

The issue is that you'll be grinding away doing the same monotonous tasks over and over again. There is no variation and once you've done these levels only a handful of times, you'll be bored out of your mind and yet, you still have over 100 of them to go. This is why the platinum 'Omega Level Accomplishment' only has an overall completion rate of 0.70% on PSN.

Like A Dargon Ishin

  • Developer: Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio
  • Release Date: February 21, 2023
  • Is it on PS Plus? No
I love Like a Dragon Ishin. It was one of my favorite games from 2023 and I had a blast working my way through the story as well as working on my farm in the downtime when I wasn't hacking up enemies with my katana. I genuinely thought this was going to be my first Like A Dragon/Yakuza game that I platinumed. Then I realized there would be another 100 hours of playtime. Thank you, no.

The time-consuming trophy to earn is 'Taskmaster' which wants you to bring the completion list to 100%. This means that you have to craft every weapon at the blacksmiths which require increasingly rare and hard-to-get materials that you will need to grind to earn in various other modes. It's far too tedious for my liking and as much as I love the game, I have other titles in my backlog that I could spend hundreds of hours on instead.

Looking over the Like A Dragon Ishin trophies you'll see that the platinum trophy 'Bakumatsu Boss' currently sits with an overall completion rate of 1.40% on PSN. This number is higher than I would have expected given the huge grind needed. However, as I stated previously the trophy list isn't hard it just requires dedication, something I was lacking.

That's all the easy platinum trophies which become a slog to earn for now. Are there any titles we missed that should be added pronto? Maybe some titles from our PS Plus easy platinums list? Let us know all your thoughts and feelings in the comments below!
