The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection trophies on PS4 have faced some issues since launch. However, a recent patch has seen the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection broken trophies fixed, allowing players to dive back into the hunt for multiple platinums. Only the Metal Gear Solid trophies were unaffected by the trophy issues. Check out our guide for information on every unobtainable PS4 platinum trophy.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 patch fixes bugged trophies

The patch notes released by Konami revealed that the trophy issues that have plagued the game should now be fixed. The patch notes only refer to the PS4 version of the MGS Master Collection. So, we can safely assume the PS5 version doesn't have any trophy issues to fix at this time. The exact trophies that have been impacted are not mentioned in the patch notes.
Unfortunately, some of these bugged trophies may not unlock when you jump back into your recent MGS save. In fact, Konami states that you may need to earn them from scratch all over again. Hopefully, these trophies aren't highly time-consuming and a real pain to collect. You can see the full details of the patch notes below!

While I will likely be jumping into the PS5 version of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, it's nice to see Konami actively working and fixing trophy issues in the PS4 version. It gives me hope that if any more trophy bugs pop up in either version of the game, Konami will be on it with haste and fix any issues that arise. This is something that more developers should actively try and do with their games if trophy problems are discovered.

What do you make of this? Have you stumbled upon any trophy issues with MGS? If you have, what trophies were impacted for you? Check out our guide to every unobtainable platinum trophy on PS5. Let us know all your thoughts and feelings on the matter in the comments below and we will see you there!
