We’re finally getting a Lakeview Cabin Collection PS5 and PS4 release this summer. A strange open-ended puzzle adventure, this one might break through to our list of the best horror games on PlayStation.

Lakeview Cabin Collection is coming to PlayStation consoles this month

You won’t have long to wait until you can get your hands on this episodic horror title, as it's due for a PS4 and PS5 release on Thursday, July 25, 2024. If you like campy cult horror movies, this one will hold great appeal – both gently mocking and paying homage to the genre.
You’ll take the role of four friends across four episodes, using your wits and whatever else you can find to battle increasing scares. Each episode has a bunch of unique endings, meaning this is one slasher movie you can watch on repeat.

Throughout the episodes, you’ll defend a summer camp from a masked weirdo, fight off cannibals in a creepy house, experience a Halloween with real scares, and take part in a very weird Alien pastiche. It’s got it all.
Lakeview Cabin makes a lot of sense on console, following in the footsteps of some other great narrative-led adventures like the Dark Pictures Anthology and The Walking Dead. There’s also plenty of action in this 16-bit world, with survival and puzzle(ish) elements thrown in for good measure. I’m just looking forward to owning all four episodes in one place, to be honest.

Will you be setting up camp and fighting midnight horrors in Lakeview Cabin Collection? Is it one of your most anticipated upcoming PS5 games? You know the drill, let us know below!

Miri's hobbies outside of gaming inform everything about their on-screen preferences: Lots of reading, irritatingly tough puzzles, and anything vaguely historical. As such, they're always on the lookout for another Disco Elysium-type read-a-thon, a Myst-like island to get lost in, or an ancient time capsule like The Forgotten City. Other than that, if anything is being described as "weird and unsettling", it's either Miri, or their new favorite indie game.
