If you're thinking about diving into those Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Stunt Mayhem trophies, keep in mind that this new game isn't in the same series as some of the best PS5 racing games around, the Hot Wheels Unleashed games. Sure, there's a chance that this new game could be fun now that Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Stunt Mayhem's PS5 and PS4 platinum trophy has been revealed, but just don't expect it to live up to the same level of quality.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Stunt Mayhem's platinum trophy has been revealed

  • Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Stunt Mayhem has no hidden trophies
  • Release Date: Friday, October 18, 2024
  • PS Plus? Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Stunt Mayhem is not available via PS Plus
While you might reasonably expect Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Stunt Mayhem to carry the same stamp of quality we've recently enjoyed from the Hot Wheels Unleashed games, it's probably wise to adjust your expectations for this new PS5 and PS4 game launching on Friday, October 18, 2024.
The Unleashed games are developed and published by Milestone — a studio with a lot of experience making racing games like the Ride series, the MXGP series, and Monster Jam Showdown. Milestone has done great work with the Hot Wheels brand name; such that you might get unduly hyped for a new Hot Wheels game that might not bear the studio's mark of quality.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks is instead being developed by 3DClouds, just one week after finishing Transformers Galactic Trials. It's also being published by GameMill Entertainment, who have something of a reputation of firing out quick cash-grab licensed games. All we're saying is that you might not want to go into this one expecting something like Hot Wheels Unleashed 2.

To its credit, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Stunt Mayhem still looks like it could be a fun PS5 and PS4 game — the trailer embedded above certainly makes it seem so. The game focuses on pulling off stunts, which might give it a unique flavor compared to the Unleashed games. Plus, the game's platinum trophy looks like it'll be an absolute breeze to unlock, so that's a pro.
To unlock Hot Wheels Monster Trucks' platinum trophy, you'll need to complete career mode, chain together 30 stunts, clear the objectives in each event to take home the badge, and earn the coveted final Monster Trophy. It all seems pretty straightforward with no mention of difficulty modes in sight, so enjoy smashing up everything in your way.
