Are you ready to collect Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered trophies? Well, Sony certainly wants you to as the controversial Horizon Zero Dawn's PS5 remaster has been announced at the most recent State of Play for September 2024. We've already placed the first entry in our Horizon game rankings!

PlayStation Studios continues PS5 remaster onslaught

  • Horizon Zero Dawn will get another set of trophies on PS5
  • Release Date: Thursday, October 31, 2024
  • Platforms: PS5
So, here it is! The Horizon Zero Dawn remake for PS5 is real from PlayStation Studios' own Guerrilla Games. This remaster brings the tried and tested 60fps and higher graphical quality than the PS4 original, and will be boosted by PS5 Pro to run at the highest settings. In particular, the foliage and animation have been brought up to the standard of Horizon Forbidden West.
The big talking point, outside of the fact the slightly inessential remaster exists at all, is the price. Players who already own the game will have a nice and easy $10 update much like The Last of Us Part II Remastered. If you are looking to get in on the action for the first time, then you are stuck at the $49.99 price mark for the updated version of the 2017 open-world action adventure.

If you've been following me writing about this here on TrueTrophies, you'll know I'm not as hard on a Horizon Zero Dawn remake. It's a nice and easy update to an already great game that many of you don't even need to upgrade to say that you've had the full experience. Am I bored of remasters of inessential and recent games, though? Yes.
