GamesPlayStation 4PlayStation 5Lee Brady If you've been struggling with any Harry Potter Quidditch Champions trophies related to the Keeper role, you might have a bit more luck following the Harry Potter Quidditch Champions September 2024 patch for PS5 and PS4. As well as improving one of the best PS5 multiplayer games, the new patch buffs the Keeper to help you get in position in time for one particularly tricky save.Quidditch Champions PS5 patch makes "A Superb Keeper" trophy easierThe new Harry Potter Quidditch Champions patch went live on Monday, September 23, 2024, and according to Portkey Games' website, it brings a lot of quality of life changes to the PS5 and PS4 game. Most of these changes (full list below) fixes the game's AI and a bunch of lingering bugs, but the Keeper role is a core focus of this patch.According to the patch notes, the Keeper roles has received a major rebalancing: increased Catch/Steal base radius, increased Strafe Speed, Increased Boost Strafe Speed, Increased Dive Speed, and Reduced Boost cost multiplier. In summary, the Keeper is now faster, more responsive, and overall much better at stopping the Quaffle from getting into the goal. This will come as good news for any PS5 or PS4 players struggling to unlock the "A Superb Keeper!" trophy. To unlock this trophy, you'll need to save a goal with a Power Save. This involves charging up a kick after unlocking the Power Kick skill in character customization, and then unleashing the kick just as the Quaffle comes towards the goal. It's a tricky move to pull off as the Keeper needs at least a second of charging before pulling off the kick, and by then the Chaser might have changed the direction of their shot. Mercifully, you can now move a little faster in front of the Quaffle, making it easier to land the charged kick and unlock the trophy.Only 1% of PSN players have managed to unlock "A Superb Keeper!" on PS5, so hopefully this patch will help improve the unlock ratio here. That said, you might find the AI playing a bit more aggressively now that the patch has improved their passing logic.Check out the Harry Potter Quidditch Champions September 2024 patch notes for PS5 and PS4 below.Harry Potter Quidditch Champions Patch Notes: 9/23/2024UI/UXMade “Skill Points” default tab in progressionMessage of the Day and Inbox message now notify players of Season end dateFixed a bug causing player nameplates to appear blankChange 'Quit to Lobby' to 'Proceed to Ceremony' at end of cup tournamentFixed a bug causing some Party notifications to not display correctlyGameplay Balance/TuningKeeperIncreased Catch/Steal base radiusIncreased Strafe SpeedIncreased Boost Strafe SpeedIncreased Dive SpeedReduced Boost cost multiplierAIImprovements to AI Chaser loose Quaffle trackingPrevented AI from crowding goals while ally is attempting to shoot QuaffleHooked up AI evasion chance vs tackles to a difficulty modifierImprovements to AI Chaser shovel pass logic to prevent instances where they would shovel pass upwards at incorrect timesFixed an issue where Keepers sometimes threw the Quaffle into the middle of the field when a suitable target was nearby - HPQC-150Audio/VOAdded new Favored/Underdog Rivals VO linesAdded fireworks SFX to World Cup outro celebrationAdded VO hooks for “Quaffle Stolen”, “Shot on Goal”, and “Successful Pass” linesCinematic volume not controlled by Master Volume in SettingsFixed an issue causing various VO lines to not trigger in certain languagesWelcome VO lines now properly fire for certain countries during the World CupPerformance/OptimizationFX quality and Shading quality increased for Gen 8 (PS4/XB1)General BugfixingFixed an issue where party leaders in coop weren’t receiving challenges progress HPQC-16Fixed Various crashes - HPQC-131Fixed a bug preventing users from interacting with other player profiles in the Scoreboard screenVarious fixes for Screen ReaderFixed a bug that caused players to get stuck on the ground in the Weasley BurrowFixed missing team banners on goalposts in Hogwarts (Day variant)Fixed preview for “Winged Key” (Level 52 reward)Fixed loss of D-Pad functionality when opening Social and Pause menus simultaneouslyFixed excessively red VFX filter when boostingFixed various issues with AI Keepers while using PlaycallerFixed a bug causing multiple Chasers to share the same spawn point after a Snitch CatchFixed an issue preventing party members from joining Cup Modes togetherFixed a bug preventing proper unlock of “Hogwarts Hero” Achievement/TrophyFixed a bug causing the Ready Up button to be non-functional while in a PartyFixed a bug in which Ginny prompted the user to begin Chaser Training despite having already completed the Burrow CupIf you're looking for more trophy hunting advice on PS5 and PS4, check out our Harry Potter Quidditch Champions platinum trophy tips for a breakdown on all the hardest trophies in the game.
