PS Plus Harry Potter game’s platinum trophy has been busted for months

We hope you've already earned the platinum when it comes to those Harry Potter Quidditch Champions trophies, otherwise, you may be out of luck. As it stands, the Harry Potter Quidditch Champions broken platinum is still unobtainable in January 2025, leaving many trophy hunters frustrated. So, this is another trophy list on our unobtainable PS5 platinum trophies guide.

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions Broken Platinum Trophy January 2025

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions was a day-one PS Plus Essential release in September 2024

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions was released on September 3, 2024

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions released as a day-one PS Plus Essential title back in September 2024. The game sees you flying around a Quidditch arena as either a Chaser, Seeker, Keeper, or Beater as you rack up as many points as you can so your team comes out victorious. You can play as a custom-created character or one of the many iconic characters from the Harry Potter series. The game can be played solo or with friends online.

While that all sounds very exciting to Harry Potter fans, trophy hunters are going to be less thrilled with the game. As of November 2024, Harry Potter Quidditch Champions' platinum trophy has been discontinued due to a bug impacting another trophy. The bugged bronze trophy in question is 'A Superb Keeper' which asks you to save a goal with your Power Save move.

Unfortunately, ever since an update that went live on November 7, 2024, the aforementioned trophy has been unobtainable on both PS5 and PS4. What you normally need to do to earn this trophy is to press R2 at max power before kicking a ball away from your goal. Yet, despite many players pulling this off multiple times, the trophy will not unlock.

Warner Bros. Games has made adjustments to the move back in the December 2024 update, but this did not fix the issue. So, the Harry Potter Quidditch Champions platinum trophy still remains unobtainable to anybody who has not earned 'A Superb Keeper' already. However, if you are one of the lucky ones who have already bagged this trophy, you can earn the platinum 'Yer a Wizard, Harry' without issue.

I was so close to picking this one up and playing it at release. However, due to an array of other games on my mind, I put it in the backlog and forgot that I had even claimed it during its PS Plus Essential stint. Seeing as this trophy has been bugged since early November 2024, I am very happy that I chose to do that.

With that said, I do feel bad for anybody who is currently stuck with this trophy list and is unable to earn the platinum because of the issue at hand. All I can do is hope that the next patch that comes to the game fixes the trophy and gives everybody the ability to earn the platinum uninterrupted.
