Our selection of hard games will all have varying degrees of difficulty, and they may not be the most difficult platinums around — but each should still provide a healthy challenge. Check out the hardest games we've picked below and we hope you've been able to avoid those unobtainable platinum trophies in the PlayStation Indies PS Store sale. You can also check out our list of easy trophies in the latest sale as well.

Crypt of the NecroDancer

Crypt of the NecroDancer is one tough platinum to earn. So tough, in fact, that it has landed near the top of our hardest platinum trophies guide. The platinum trophy 'NecroMaster' currently has an overall completion rate of 3.90% on PSN. Frankly, that is way, way, way higher than we would have ever anticipated. However, the TrueTrophies completion rate sits at a more believable 0.44%. So, thank you to the TrueTrophies community for proving our point.

Why is this platinum so demonically difficult? You'll have to beat the entire game ten times in a row without dying as Candiece for the trophy 'Undeadly.' However, it only gets worse from here as for the gold trophy 'Lowest of the Low,' you need to beat the entire game with each character without ever using shrines or picking up any items — which means no healing and no leveling up. Yeah, this is one platinum trophy we will never be attempting. Will you?

The Hong Kong Massacre

The Hong Kong Massacre is a dark, brutal, and incredibly slick top-down action shooter. You'll blast your way through a bunch of beautiful levels that are overflowing with enemies who all have one mission: to kill you. If you enjoy the Hotline Miami series then you'll feel right at home with The Hong Kong Massacre. There are even a multitude of similarities between this game and the underrated PS3 title, Stranglehold.

As you gun for that platinum beauty, you'll see the 'game over' screen more times than you can count. Thankfully, there is a trophy for dying over 250 times. So, that should come pretty naturally. However, there are two trophies related to not dying a single time on the first and second day of the game. These are by far the hardest trophies to earn.

If you can overcome all of that, then you will be within reaching distance of the platinum trophy 'Good bye Hong Kong' which sits with an overall completion rate of 1.20% on PSN. Do you have the willpower to overcome this foreboding challenge?

School Girl Zombie Hunter

School Girl Zombie Hunter is a third-person shooter developed by Tamsoft Corporation (known for the Oneechanbara and Senran Kagura series). Set in the same universe as the Oneechanbara series, you'll take control of five different girls, all of whom are attempting to survive a zombie infestation at their high school. Thankfully, these ladies come locked and loaded with an arsenal of weapons to thin the zombie numbers down.

The trophy list for this one is certainly the easiest of this batch. However, it still provides a sturdy challenge that you may want to partake in. The hardest trophy by a country mile is 'Legendary School Girl' which asks you to earn the rank of SSS on all levels across all three difficulty settings. This is quite the task and will be the reason why you either do or don't earn the platinum.

Currently, the platinum trophy 'School Girl/Zombie Hunter' sits with an overall completion rate of 1.50% on PSN. Will this be a platinum you try and add to your collection?

That's all the difficult trophy lists we have for you today. Are there any here you'll be tempted to play? If you're looking for more hard platinum trophies, make sure to check out our list of the hardest platinum trophies on PS Plus. Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below!
