Our selection of hard games will all have varying degrees of difficulty, and they may not be the most difficult platinums around — but each should still provide a healthy challenge. Check out the hardest games we've picked below and we hope you've been able to avoid those unobtainable platinum trophies in the Planet of the discounts PS Store sale. You can also check out our list of easy trophies in the latest sale as well.

Medieval Dynasty

Those seeking an in-depth story and engaging narrative may want to steer clear of Medieval Dynasty. While there are indeed story elements, they are far and few between and are simply there to drive forward a few of the random quests that will pop up here and there.

The main purpose of Medieval Dynasty is for you to grow and build your village into a powerful little realm. With a lot of emphasis on the building side of things. When it comes to simulation games, this is one of the most fun ones you can dive into.

In terms of trophies, these are going to take you a long time. There is also a solid element of RNG to them and because of this you may find yourself slamming your head against your controller repeatedly after you fail to unlock a trophy that should be quite simple. Currently, the platinum trophy 'Platin? What's platin, my Lord' has an overall completion rate of 0.20% on PSN.

Like A Dragon Ishin

Like A Dragon Ishin is an incredible experience, just check out Lee's brilliant Like A Dragon Ishin review for proof. The game is overflowing with whacky characters, stylish fight scenes, and a beautifully crafted story.

While the game is genuinely incredible, the trophies are lengthy, contain a difficulty-related trophy, and take a toll on your sanity. The platinum trophy 'Bakumatsu Boss' has an overall completion rate of 1.50% on PSN. The main trophy that is hindering many players (myself included) is 'Taskmaster' which asks you to bring the completion list to 100%.

Doing this single objective adds over 100 hours to the game, forcing you to complete monotonous mini-games, earn obscene amounts of money, and fight through the same dungeons over and over again. There is a lot connected to this singular trophy and by the time you finish the game, you'll be lucky if you are even halfway towards it. However, it's certainly not the hardest Yakuza/Like A Dragon game out there!

7 Days to Die

7 Days to Die is a zombie-filled world overflowing with carnage, nightmares, blood, and crafting. There isn't really a story here other than "survive." You'll loot your surroundings, build intricate traps and fortresses, craft powerful weapons, and do everything you can to outlast the walking corpses. It's a fun game to pass the time with if you aren't looking for something super polished.

The trophies are time-consuming, requiring you to play online and get lucky searching for good gear to help you survive this harsh world. However, while difficult, the trophies are straightforward and aren't going to confuse you while you try and earn them. Currently, the platinum '100% Clear' has an overall completion rate of 0.10% on PSN.

That's all the difficult trophy lists we have for you today. Are there any here you'll be tempted to play? If you're looking for more hard platinum trophies, make sure to check out our list of the hardest platinum trophies on PS Plus. Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below!
