Empires Shall Fall brings an Advance Wars-style platinum to PS4 The Empires Shall Fall platinum trophy for PS4 has been revealed, highlighting the game's hardcore campaign that takes heavy inspiration from Advance Wars.Jamie Sharp Published 09 Jan 2025 FollowtopicsEmpires Shall FallPlayStation 4Trophy ListJamie Sharp Fans of Advance Wars should prepare a week or two for later this year now that the Empires Shall Fall platinum trophy for PS4 has been revealed. Some of these Empires Shall Fall trophies sound brutal, but the game's visuals and turn-based combat are a nostalgic hit that could make it a contender for our list of the best PS4 games you can play. Empires Shall Fall's PS4 platinum requires high ranks and sole survivorsEmpires Shall Fall is a turn-based tactics game with a Dieselpunk settingThe game has 18 trophies, none of which are hiddenIt looks like a minimum of two playthroughs are required for the platinumEmpires Shall Fall wears its inspiration on its sleeve, highlighting the same turn-based battles with near-current military technology, soldiers, and something else much stranger rendered with gorgeous artwork. It lends a cartoonish feel to the action, even though the gameplay is likely to require tough-to-implement strategies. While we don't yet have a release date for the PS4 title, its trophy list indicates that you'll need to complete at least two playthroughs for the 'Empire Campaign' and 'League Campaign' trophies. These are earned by completing all campaign missions for the Empire and League armies, respectively. To get the platinum trophy, you'll need to finish all campaign missions with an S Rank and complete two of the hardest missions in the game without using any upgrades for three gold trophies in particular. The 'One Man Army' trophy stands out to me because it requires you to win a mission with exactly one unit alive. I really don't relish the challenge of working both sides down to a single unit before a victory. Conversely, for the 'Annihilator' trophy you must complete a mission with 50+ units destroyed, which sounds incredibly chaotic and right up my alley. I also love the sound of the 'Slow and Steady' trophy because it tasks you with completing a mission in 30 turns or more, which is very much my pace in turn-based tactics games. You can check out the full Empires Shall Fall trophy list below!Empires Shall Fall trophy listName Description Empires Shall Fall Platinum Platinum Prologue Complete the prologue Empire Campaign Complete the Empire campaign League Campaign Complete the League campaign Battle for Liberstadt Complete the final prologue mission without using any upgrades Battle for Liberstadt, Part 2 Complete the final Empire mission without using any upgrades Battle for Liberstadt, Final Complete the final League mission without using any upgrades Perfect Start Complete the first prologue mission without losing any units Little pigeons can carry great messages Destroy a tank with a rifleman One Man Army Win the mission with exactly 1 unit alive Victory at Great Cost Complete a mission with 30 or more units lost Annihilator Complete a mission with 50 or more units destroyed Slow and Steady Complete a mission in 30 or more turns Prologue Master Complete all prologue missions with S rank Empire Campaign Master Complete all Empire campaign missions with S rank League Campaign Master Complete all League campaign missions with S rank Bonus Campaign Complete the Bonus campaign Bonus Campaign Master Complete all Bonus campaign missions with S rank While there are a handful of challenging trophies, Empires Shall Fall looks like it stands a chance of landing somewhere on our easiest PlayStation platinums list. does the artwork and style spark nostalgia and make you want to play and grind out the trophy list?
