Good news for all you hunting down Dying Light 2 trophies out there — the Dying Light 2 DLC trophies are now free for all PS5 players to earn. The game's latest update — the "Firearms Update" — has landed, adding a huge amount of new content and making the "Bloody Ties DLC" free to all players who own the standard edition. Maybe it's time to dive back into one of the best horror games on PS5?

Dying Light 2 Bloody Ties DLC free in new update

The Dying Light 2 Reloaded Edition has just launched for the game's second anniversary, which includes the Bloody Ties DLC and all updates including Photo Mode and New Game Plus. All existing players will be upgraded to the Reloaded Edition for free, meaning there's a whole bunch of new trophies for fans to collect on top of the base Dying Light 2 trophies.
The firearms update also adds, as the name suggests, firearms to the game. A range of guns are now available, including pistols, shotguns, rifles, and SMGs. The development studio, Techland, has stated that the additions are "an enhancement rather than a complete change of genre," suggesting that these updates aren't intended to pull focus away from the game's core appeal, which is defined by fluid free-running movement and fast-paced action.

The update also adds new Survivor Missions, which test players' skills in co-op-focused missions — perfect for wrapping up some of those lingering co-op trophies. More missions will be available on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
Somehow, that's not all. There are also bulletin boards of Villedor have got new missions to complete and there are 50 more Legend Levels to earn as well, giving you much more content to enjoy in this open-world game. Familiar faces from the original Dying Light have also arrived — Tolga and Fatin.

Dying Light 2 is one of the best PlayStation multiplayer games in recent memory, with a robust campaign that featured some fantastic co-op play. The addition of ranged weaponry to a game that was entirely melee-focused certainly gave me trepidations, but the heaps of new content is certainly enough to entice me back in. Will you be diving in for those new DLC trophies? Let us know down in the comments.
