While many of us will have had a blast earning those Days Gone trophies, the title, unfortunately, didn't go down all that well at launch. Sadly, this means a sequel to the zombie-infested game is seemingly out of the question. However, Bend Studios has revealed its new PS5 exclusive is coming along nicely. Hopefully we'll see it joining our PS5 exclusives guide in the near future.

Don't you wish it was Days Gone 2 in the works for PS5?

Bend Studios responded to a tweet over on X, that asked: "How's that new IP going?" While it's not much of a response, the studio simply replied with "we cooking." This hints that Bend's mysterious PS5 exclusive title is coming along fine and hopefully more details will be revealed in the coming months. The only thing we know for sure is that this isn't a sequel to Days Gone and is something entirely different. However, I wish it was Days Gone 2.
There are a lot of PlayStation-exclusive titles out there, most of which I adore. However, one of my absolute favorites is Days Gone. I'm a sucker for all things horror and zombies. So, throw in some open-world exploration, a likable protagonist, and lots of zombie hordes and you have me hooked. This is why it's such a punch to the gut knowing that Bend Studios isn't working on a sequel to one of my favorite PS4 exclusives.

I'm excited to see how Bend's new IP turns out. The studio has made some fabulous games in the past with the likes of the Syphon Filter series and even that PS Vita exclusive Uncharted title, Uncharted Golden Abyss. So, I'm hopeful that this new IP will be something similarly gripping.
However, all I really want is more zombie carnage. Days Gone is a truly underrated gem and deserves way more love than it gets. Heck, this is why it's on our best PS4 games list. So, please Sony, let us return to this zombie-ridden world someday!

What do you make of Days Gone? A fan of the title? Are you excited to see what Bend Studios is 'cooking' behind the scenes?
