Alien Isolation's PS5 and PS4 player count has seen a huge boost since the latest Alien film hit theaters. However, it's not just Isolation seeing an increase.

Those Alien Isolation trophies are getting a lot of love at the moment and we think it's partly due to the latest Alien movie, Alien Romulus, hitting theaters all around the world. Thanks to this increase in traction, Alien Isolation's PS5 and PS4 player count has skyrocketed, bringing many players back to one of the best horror games on PS5!

  • Alien Romulus recently landed in cinemas, which explains the recent boost in players
  • Aliens Fireteam Elite has also seen a 62.24% increase in its players
Using a gameplay data sample from over 3.1 million active PSN accounts (courtesy of our partnership with GameInsights, which draws the majority of its PSN data from sources beyond TrueTrophies), we've been able to track the weekly player count of every PS5 and PS4 game.
Alien Isolation has seen a not-too-shabby 122.03% increase in its PS5 and PS4 player base since the latest movie came out. The latest movie, Alien Romulus, is performing very well at the box office and is receiving a lot of praise, which is likely pushing people to revisit the best Alien game out there, Isolation.

Alien Romulus also has a lot of easter eggs to different moments in the Alien universe and that does include Alien Isolation. The biggest easter egg I spotted was the save points that we use throughout Alien Isolation being jotted in the background of scenes in Alien Romulus.

These little details are more than enough to get players enticed into revisiting this horrifying nightmare world, I should know as it worked on me. However, it's not just Alien Isolation seeing a rather nice surge in players as Aliens Fireteam Elite has also seen a 62.24% increase in PS5 and PS4 players since the movie dropped.
I'm over the moon to see Alien Isolation receiving so much love once again. The game is truly an experience like no other. The tension, fear, and constant sense of dread the game evokes are both terrifying and addictive. The game absolutely deserves all of this new player traffic, heck, even Aliens Fireteam Elite deserves it.
