Mafia II Returns to Digital Storefronts

By Kelly Packard,
2K is pulling out all the stops in promoting October's Mafia III — including re-listing its predecessor for sale. Mafia 2 was suddenly removed from the Xbox, PlayStation and Steam digital storefronts last year for what was most likely music licensing issues. As of this writing, Mafia II isn't yet available on the Xbox Marketplace for sale, but has already appeared on the PlayStation Store.

Though this is a good sign, probably a more important issue (for trophy hunters, collectors and completionists especially) is whether or not the DLC, which was pulled at the same time as the base game, will become available for purchase once more. Mafia II's DLC experience consisted of three major expansions, "Jimmy's Vendetta", Joe's Adventures and "The Betrayal of Jimmy," as well as some miscellaneous costume and weapon packs.

Though there is no DLC listed on the PlayStation Store as of this writing, we'll just have to wait and see.
