DC Universe Online (PS4) is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Wonder Woman this summer. To kick things off, Daybreak Games released a video featuring developers and voice actress Susan Eisenberg talking about what Wonder Woman means to fans and to themselves personally.
In addition, the developer has announced the "Summer of Wonder", an event that began on July 20th and runs through to August 21st. During the event, all players regardless of membership or purchase status will be able to access the content of "Episodes". Rebranded "Open Episodes" for this period, Daybreak were keen to point out that there's still an advantage for those who are already paying the fees:
Members and/or those who have purchased the episode(s) will have the standard loot lockout times. Those who are not members and have not purchased the episode(s) will have longer loot lockout times.
As if that wasn't enough, the Wonder Woman Emblem will be available to download for free during the "Summer of Wonder". When you collect the emblem, you'll get 7.5 hours of Double XP.
Daybreak has also commented on their plans for future content updates, shifting from monthly Episodes to more substantial content packages. This change starts after Episode 26 in August. Episode 27, "Amazon Fury Part III", will still retain multiple storylines and Elite versions of content. The developer also hinted at additional seasonal events and survival modes in the meantime.
