Anyone in the gaming community who hasn't yet heard about the upcoming Battlefield 1 is probably either a Martian or living under a rock. Or a Martian living under a rock. Even Martians and those who aren't interested in the October World War I shooter can benefit from the press surrounding it — EA and Dice have been handing out free DLC for older Battlefield games in preparation of the impending launch.
This week, it's free Battlefield Hardline DLC. Until July 12th, be sure to pick up the "Betrayal" DLC pack for free on both PS3 and PS4 (and any other systems you happen to own). And yes, it does have achievements. Here are the store links for both the PS3 and the PS4 versions.
There's also a new community mission that could help players snag a Gold Battlepack if it's completed:
Hit the streets in any Battlefield Hardline multiplayer mode and mode collectively score 17 million total SMG kills to get a Gold Battlepack. This mission is active between July 5, 2016 9AM PT and July 12, 2016 9AM PT.
We're already well on our way to owning all the DLC for both Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. If this pattern continues, we just might.
