Brut@l Expands On Co-Op, Reveals Mage Gameplay

By Brandon Fusco,
A recent trailer from Brutal showed off the first glimpse of co-op play without providing much in the way of details. That's about to be rectified, and there's a new Let's Play video of some mage gameplay to boot!

Perhaps the most notable detail is that co-op will be local only. Though having a co-op partner will help you out in some ways, it's not going to be a cake walk. Both players' inventories will be separate, meaning players will have to be cognizant of who is picking up what items. If the first player needs some health and is out of potions, player two can manually give the player a potion or throw it over for an instant effect at the risk of potentially missing and healing an enemy. If a player dies, he can be revived instantly, but this is done by siphoning half of the living player's health into the dead player, making both easy targets.

While Brut@l is only vaguely set for release some time this year on PlayStation 4, the developer is saying that the release date is "close! Real close!" so we'll hopefully either have a release or a date soon enough.

We've got the full list of Brut@l trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
