PS Plus Lineup for May 2016

By PR,
It's the moment you've all been waiting for: Time for the monthly announcement of PlayStation Plus IGC games! This month we bring you news of six all-different games, including one as yet unreleased PS4 game, so hopefully there's something for everyone.

Tropico 5 (PS4)

Best Simulation winner in TT's 2015 Game of the Year awards, Tropico 5 is the first game in the series to arrive on PlayStation systems. It's a city-building game that has received generally favourable reviews, which will be a welcome sight for anyone who'd like to give the genre a go on console. The series blends humour and challenge, but shouldn't be too difficult for learned trophy hunters. If you liked the 2012 film The Dictator, then be sure to have your slaves check this one out.

The base game is said to come in around 20 hours and boasts a platinum, while there are two trophy DLCs which should last around 8 hours each. The base game has 6 online trophies which can apparently be boosted with one other person in just an hour or so.

Table Top Racing World Tour (PS4)

An arcade racer in the style of beloved Micro Machines, fun is the name of the game here as your varied little cars dart around a selection of amusing courses. As if the competitive jostling isn't enough, weapons will of course be in the mix as up to 8 players vie for that coveted first place.

TTR: World Tour features:
? 8 PvP multiplayer combat racing - it's both addictive and vindictive
? 6 Unique gameplay modes spread throughout the Championships
? 86 Varied and challenging events
? 20 Dynamic circuits based around 5 themed locations
? Exclusive "YO! Sushi" endorsed race track
? 12 Ultra-cool micro racers inspired by some of the world’s most iconic cars
? 8 Cunning Power-Up weapons with both attack and defence capabilities
? 6 Super-powerful “Wheel Weapons” to give you the upper hand
? 20+ Track exclusive Breakbeat soundtrack by Wes Smith (Juice Recordings, San Diego)
Another game coming to PS+ on the day of launch, Table Top Racing: World Tour has not previously released on any other platform and doesn't yet have any reviews, guides, or even an available trophy list. However, there are plenty of previews available.

Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 (PS3)

An old-style Action-Platformer, this sequel brings full 3D graphics to classic 2D run & gun gameplay.

LocoRoco Cocoreccho (PS3)

LocoRoco Cocoreccho (or Oideyo LocoRoco!! BuuBuu Cocoreccho!) [try saying that ten times really fast] is a fun and colourful little game about the blob-like critters you've probably seen in a few PSN Avatars. It's definitely a PS3 game even though it doesn't have a site page, it's just one of the rare few from the days before trophies. Ah, those were the days.

The game's been described in a variety of unusual ways including "interactive screensaver", but one thing's for certain: it's short and it's sweet, and with no trophies to worry about, what have you got to lose in trying it?

Switch Galaxy Ultra (Vita, PS4)

Looking like some sort of cross between WipEout HD and fly-forward games like Race The Sun, this cross-buy title has been praised for the trill of dodging objects at high speed.

There is one trophy DLC available: Charity Pack 1 for Switch Galaxy Ultra
We wanted to do something special for the game and so designed a DLC pack where all our profits are going direct to our favourite Charity, Caudwell Children. Yes seriously, we aren’t making a penny from this DLC Pack. In the pack you will unlock an exclusive branded ship – the Orion, 15 new levels including 2 extra challenge levels, licensed music from artists Chase and Status, Kove, Modestep and Nero and the knowledge that downloading this pack will go towards helping children who need support.

God of War: Ghost of Sparta (PSP, Vita)

Not to be confused with the PS3 HD port, this PSP title (confirmed playable on Vita and PS TV) is not to be overlooked. While obviously it doesn't have trophies, it received a vast majority of positive reviews, and along with its predecessor is often considered among the best games ever released on PSP. If you think it's just a throwaway portable entry, give this trailer a chance first.

All of these are due for both NA and EU on Tuesday May 3rd.

Well that's it! Let us know what you think in the comments below. And remember, be excellent to each other- or I'll set Kratos on you.
