The Last Blade 2 Announced for PS4, PS Vita

By Todd Hadler,
Classic arcade fighting game The Last Blade 2 is coming to the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita. The game is being re-released by publisher SNK, who originally released the game in 1998. SNK is most known for the creation of the Neo Geo arcade and home consoles. The Last Blade 2 was first released as an arcade machine and then on the Neo Geo and Neo-Geo CD. It was eventually ported over to the Dreamcast in 2000 for Japan and 2001 for North America. The game was finally released on the Wii Virtual Console in 2012. SNK is only publishing the game this time around as emulation duties are being handed over to developer Code Mystics.

The Last Blade 2 includes 18 playable characters with 12 of them being returning characters. In addition, there is the option to pick three different fighting styles. These fighting styles include power, speed, and extreme. The re-release also includes local and online multiplayer, as well as cross play, cross save, and cross buy between the PS4 and PS Vita.

The Last Blade 2 is set to be released on PS4 and PS Vita on May 24th, 2016.
