Skullgirls 2nd Encore Arrives on Vita

By Jon,
Finally! The wait is over! Full Kiss Skullgirls 2nd Encore Trophies is coming to the Playstation Vita! As evidence that after missing last year's expected release window this is actually happening, we have a launch trailer:

Wooooo!

As a fan of Skullgirls, I am personally excited over finally getting to play the gorgeous hand-drawn fighter on my portable device of choice. A few changes have been made for the Vita version, all of which are positives. First off, the control scheme has been adjusted to take advantage of the Vita's touchscreen.

Vita Controls

The two highlighted "Macro" sections can be pressed to launch a customized macro that can be calling in your assist, switching characters, a special move, etc. Both macro areas can be customized entirely to suit your playstyle. The second change also impacts the PS4 version as Skullgirls 2nd Encore's multiplayer lobbies will receive a makeover. This makeover will come as part of a patch at a later date once the Vita version is released.

'All play' is a new feature being added to the standard online fighting game lobby system. Typically with a lobby, two players fight it out while the rest just sit back and watch. With 'All play', everyone in the lobby is paired up and fights at the same time. Once your match is over, you get paired up and back to fighting as soon as another pair finishes their match. Since I have spent a lot of time in online lobbies over the years, I can tell you this is a great change and the lobby patch will even be released for the PS3 version of Full Kiss Skullgirls Encore PS3 Trophies.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore will be available tomorrow for the Playstation Vita.

We've got the full list of Skullgirls 2nd Encore trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
