Sony Makes Changes, Forms Sony Interactive Entertainment

By Brandon Fusco,
As of April 1st, the beginning of Sony's fiscal year, two parts of Sony have come together to form a larger, more cohesive whole.

Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment have fused together to form the new Sony Interactive Entertainment operating out of San Mateo, California with Shawn Layden as the Chairman. This will put PlayStation VR, Vue, and PlayStation Now under one roof with the Sony Worldwide Studio team. While the impact won't be immediately apparent, the ability for these teams to work together should hopefully "drive consistent and constant innovation in the dynamic medium of videogames."

With Sony now poised for world (and living room) domination, what are your thoughts? Does the idea of Sony's entertainment divisions working together excite you for the future? Are you concerned that this new megalith will be too cumbersome? Perhaps you just don't care. Let us know below!
