Worlds of Magic Becomes Planar Conquest

By Ashley Woodcock,
Developed by Wastelands Interactive, Worlds of Magic: Planar Conquest Trophies is a new turn-based strategy title and is a "reimagined and immensely enhanced version" of Worlds of Magic. The game, which was funded via Kickstarter and released on PC last year, was originally announced for Playstation 4 last March under its original title Worlds of Magic. The game had numerous issues after its release and, despite the team's efforts to try and fix them, CEO Leszek Lisowski thought it better to just relaunch the game all together:

We know that Worlds of Magic had lots of issues. We fixed many of them in subsequent updates, but we’ve eventually realized that if we want to unleash the full potential of our 4X project, we need to overhaul it and relaunch it. That’s how Planar Conquest was born. The game will not only feature new UI, enhanced AI and revamped graphics, but also will be expanded with cross-platform multiplayer, intuitive map editor, and more. Best of all, Planar Conquest will be free to everyone who already owns Worlds of Magic .
No other details have been released in regards to Planar Conquest, but we do have a few screens and a launch trailer of the iOS version to share for a rough idea of what gamers can expect once the title releases on PS4:

Planar Conquest will make its way to consoles in Q2 2016.

Hounding news for TrueTrophies ever since the site first launched. Lover of completions, tough achievements, shooters, action, adventure and racing titles, hip-hop, NBA, and my Scooby. I own an Xbox One and Xbox 360. If I ever get my gaming room back, and a whopping amount of constant free time to go with it, I may get a PlayStation console too.
