Drakengard 3 Interview and Pre-Order Bonuses

Earlier today, Square-Enix released an interview and several other juicy tidbits pertaining to Drakengard 3. Our interviewee is series Art Designer Kimihiko Fujisaka who takes the time to tell us about how he came to the radically different designs found in this third installment.

In conjunction with the development of the game, a short prequel novella is being written. Chapter One (ironically titled Zero after the game's main character) was previously released and today we see the continuation of that story with the release of chapters two through five. The novella is free to all, regardless of whether you've pre-ordered the game and can be found on the Drakengard website.

The next wave of Square Store pre-order bonuses has also arrived for North American gamers. This wave brings with it a set of six PS3 dashboard themes showing off the character designs detailed in the interview. Any pre-existing orders with the Square Store will automatically get this bonus as well.

For those who wish to get their game elsewhere, certain retailers, including Amazon.com, are offering an alternative pre-order bonus in the form of three costumes for lead character Zero.

Drakengard is on pace for a PS3 retail and PSN release on May 20th, 2014 in North America, May 21st in Europe, and May 22nd in Australia.
