SEGA has announced that its popular PS3 strategy RPG Valkyria Chronicles is headed West and being overhauled for the next generation as Valkyria Chronicles Remastered Trophies. The title, based on World War II, will soon be available for a new audience.
The title tells the story of Gallia, a small, peaceful kingdom on the verge of war as The Empire sweeps across the continent. Though neutral in the conflict, Gallia has an irresistable treasure trove in the form of Ragnite, a natural resource highly valued by both sides, and The Empire wants the Ragnite to the point that Gallia is increasingly in danger of being invaded and sucked into the battle. It will be up to Gallia's Squad 7, led by Lieutenant Welkin Gunther, to protect the country.
Valkyria Chronicles Remastered features:
--HD " CANVAS" Graphics Engine - The stunning, painterly graphics return, but this time in 1080p/60fps high definition quality! Battles and cutscenes are conveyed like a vibrant tapestry in motion.
--"BLiTZ" tactical battle system - Part overhead turn-based strategy, part RPG, and part real-time 3rd person shooter, the" BLiTZ" system is an innovative mechanic that makes battles simultaneously strategic and action-packed. Players will command and control their soldiers and tanks as they take on the Empire in 30 different battlefronts.
--Memorable storyline - Set against the backdrop of a world war, Gunther, Alicia, Largo and the rest of the fierce members of Squad 7 fight for personal reasons in the name of freedom, and the hope against all odds of liberating Gallia from Empire control, all in the face of the terrible realities of war.
--DLC Included - Besides the core game, Valkyria Chronicles Remastered includes all previously released DLC: Hard EX Mode, Edy's Mission, Selvaria's Mission, and Challenge of the Edy Detachment.

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will be headed to the PS4 both digitally and physically at $29.99/CA$44.99 or the regional equivalent. The title will be coming to the States and to Europe sometime this spring.
