A Final Character Reveal for Street Fighter V

By Cindy Minguez,
We have lots of new information for fans of Street Fighter V from Matt Edwards of Capcom as they wrapped up at PSX this year. First up is the revelation of the 16th and final character rounding out the game's roster: F.A.N.G.

F.A.N.G. is one tough customer. He's an assassin for the Shadaloo Organization, and he is second only to his boss M. Bison in strength and skill. His favorite attacks involve poison.

F.A.N.G. poisons his enemy anytime he lands a special attack. The poison will gnaw away at the fighter's HP until he or she lands a hit or the venom runs its course. F.A.N.G. can deliver this nasty little gift in multiple ways, such as laying poisonous traps, infecting his prey with tainted fingertips, or using his V-Skill Nishodoku, which can't be blocked and instantly poisons with its slow-moving projectile. He can even defend himself by using his V-Trigger to create a noxious cloud that if touched, you guessed it, infects his enemy yet again.

Adding to his venomous versatility, F.A.N.G has a wide range of double-hitting normal attacks. These are useful for keeping the opponent at a distance, and even if the likes of Necalli or Zangief manage to close the gap and breach F.A.N.G’s comfort zone, he can use his Ryobenda side-step to slip past the opponent and build space. In addition to news about F.A.N.G., Edwards revealed the roster of extra characters for 2016: Alex, Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Juri, and Urien. All of these characters can be earned through gameplay, but if you're especially anxious for one, they're also available for instant purchase.

But wait, there's more! We also have details for the Street Fighter V Deluxe Edition:
This contains the main game and the content from the recently announced 2016 Season Pass (all six bonus characters, a premium costume for each and exclusive PS4 theme)! From now until launch this edition is available at a special 10% discounted rate of £71.99/€89.99. After that time, it will increase to £79.99/€99.99.Finally, we have a conversation with Yoshinori Ono of Capcom about the upcoming fighter via the LiveStream crew from PSX.

Street Fighter V will be hitting PS4 February 16th.
