Rez Infinite Confirmed For PS4

By David Johnston,
Shown off as part of Sony's PSX conference, ReZERO Starting Life in Another World The Prophecy of the Throne Asianz Infinite Trophies is to be released on Playstation 4 and compatible with Playstation VR. Rez Infinite is a follow up to the 2001 release Rez, and creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi feels the climate is much more welcoming to titles like Rez Infinite.

Mizuguchi also discusses how the technical improvements over the past two console generations will impact the player experience with Rez Infinite offering 1080P visuals running at 60fps with 7.1 audio on Playstation 4 and 120fps with full 3D audio on Playstation VR, a far cry from the CRT TV's that older gamers will have experienced the original on.

You can find the full interview below where Mizaguchi discusses some of the additional control opportunities that VR offers and how big an impact he feels the sound has in Rez Infinite.

Mizuguchi also references the Synesthesia Suit that he was seen wearing at PSX, which he sees as an evolution of the long forgotten Trance vibrator. The on-stage demo with Mizaguchi in all his glory can be found below:
