Arcade Racer Distance Getting VR Support

By Brandon Fusco,
It's been about a year since we've heard from Refract, the team behind upcoming arcade racer Distance. In that time, they've put in a bunch of work into various features including PlayStation VR support.

The unique features of Distance such as the ability to drive on walls or fly through the air to avoid traps should be an interesting fit for the PlayStation VR. To help facilitate using VR instead of the third person camera, a full dashboard has been integrated, and an "upside-down moon-roof" has been installed in the floor to assist in landing your vehicle. While this sounds interesting, there's nothing quite like seeing it in motion, which you can do here, here, and here.

Distance will be on the show floor at PlayStation Experience this weekend, and is being released on PlayStation 4 with VR support in 2016.
