Earlier last month, publisher Strategy First announced that an all new FlatOut racing title was being developed by Paris based Kylotonn Entertainment and that it would be released sometime in 2016. The publisher has now announced a new partnership that will see the team at Tiny Rebel Games brought in to assist on the development of the newly titled FlatOut 4: Total Insanity.
Tiny Rebel Games, a partnership venture for husband and wife team Lee and Susan Cummings, is the “culmination of over a decade of work together” including design and development contributions to a variety of well-known franchises, such as the Grand Theft Auto series, BioShock (PS3) and Borderlands.
Lee Cummings, Creative Director of Tiny Rebel Games had this to say on the partnership:
We’ve been fans of the Flatout franchise for years now for its focus on fun, accessible, over the top combative racing. The Kylotonn team brings tremendous experience in racing, and with them we hope to deliver a new FlatOut experience which pays homage to what fans love about the franchise yet goes beyond it in outrageousness, richness of environment and design, and community involvement
It is still unknown for which platforms FlatOut 4: Total Insanity will be available, but we will be sure to keep you updated on any further developments.
