Samurai Warriors 4-II New Mode Trailers

By Alex Frost,
Koei Tecmo has released four new videos for the upcoming translation of their game Full Kiss Samurai Warriors 4 2 Asian Trophies, all focusing on a new game mode: Survival Mode. Each video highlights a new aspect of Survival Mode, also called Challenge Mode, that were added to the game, from an endless castle mode to specific chamber challenges that net you various rewards depending on the chamber.

Starting with Survival Mode, or an "Endless Castle" mode, you work your way through a castle of endless levels; the higher up you go, the greater the rewards but also the higher the level and number of enemies you will encounter. Not only do stats and numbers work against you, but your health doesn't regenerate and a timer ticks down before you must somehow find your exit. They call this a challenge for a reason, but if you survive and make it to the exit, all the weapons and mounts you acquire in this stage will carry over to story mode, so all those nightmare stages will become simple daydreams.

Another part of Survival Mode is a breakdown in different challenge arenas, called Challenge Mode. Each Challenge Mode chamber has a different goal, and different leaderboards, for each. Starting with the Chamber of Agility, your skills are tested as you defeat any and all standard bearers that you can. Those familiar with the series will know that going into a territory with a standard bearer around is not always easy.

The Chamber of Riches is, as you would imagine, focused on collecting as much gold as possible before the timer runs out.

The Chamber of Trials is simply about killing as many enemies as you can, pure and simple.

Not shown is another chamber, the Chamber of Death, which appears to be the toughest of all the chambers. You are faced with high-level opponents, meant to strike fear into a low-leveled character with a single-blow death, and only the best and most well-equipped will survive this encounter. This one must surely live up to its name.

A more hero-focused game than its predecessor, Samurai Warriors 4-II is ready to test your skills, your patience, and your courage with these exciting new ways to play. It will be out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita systems on September 29th, 2015 for North America and October 2nd for Europe.

We've got the full list of Samurai Warriors 4-II (Asia) trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
