If you prefer Konami's Pepsi to EA's Coca-Cola when taking to the football field, you'll be happy to hear that a demo (you remember those, don't you?) for Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 European will be making its way to the Playstation Store next Thursday, August 13th. The demo will offer players the chance to play as club or national teams and offer a preview of how improved the series aims to be now that it's on the famous Fox Engine, the same game engine used for Metal Gear Solid V and P.T..
The title boasts three times as many player animations as last year's iteration. New Player ID and Team ID artificial intelligence attempt to capture not just the physical likenesses of players, but their playing styles as well. A new collision system also allows each game to be more physical for those who prefer to get their knees and shins dirty. These improvements, among others, can be seen in this Gamescom gameplay trailer.
PES' myClub mode, their response to Ultimate Team modes in EA's games, is the focal point of pre-order incentives. Day One editions of the game comes with a bounty of bonuses including:
- 1X Player Loan of cover star, Neymar Jr.
- 1X Player Loan of UEFA.com TOTY 2014
- 10,000 GP/week for 10 weeks
- 10 Recovery Items
- 3X Player Contracts
If you pre-order the digital edition via the Playstation Store, some of those bonuses are increased and you'll get this instead:
- 1X Player Loan of cover star, Neymar Jr.
- 1X Player Loan of UEFA.com TOTY 2014
- 10,000 GP/week for 15 weeks
- 20 Recovery Items
- 5X Player Contracts
Finally, there's the Anniversary Edition that is exclusive to Playstation. Here's what you'll get if you decide to go for that one:
- 1X Player Loan of cover star, Neymar Jr.
- 1X Player Loan of UEFA.com TOTY 2014
- 10,000 GP/week for 20 weeks
- 20 Recovery Items
- 5X Player Contracts
- 1000 myClub coins
- Steelbook game case
The title hits Playstations old and new a month after the demo releases, on September 15th in North America and September 18th in Europe.
