TrueTrophies Podcast: Episode 0

By Shadow Enz,
The TrueTrophies Podcast is here!

On this Episode, Shadow_Enz invites TrueTrophy & Matrarch to the show as they lend their Podcast expertise to bring you information about the current site recruitment, as well as discussing the podcast itself and Playstation News.

We're looking to bring new staff to the site and applications must be submitted by next Friday, March 7th. On the podcast we dig deep through what we're looking for in our staff. If you have a love for Playstation, please make sure to visit the Recruitment Drive article and submit an application for a position you believe you'd be best suited for!

On top of the site's recruitment, we're also recruiting for the Podcast team itself! Before I get into that, I'd like to ask any of you musical ninjas to please consider creating an intro theme for the TrueTrophies Podcast. This is your shot to have your mark on the community and, while credit definitely will be given to you, your piece will basically be the face of the podcast, bringing every episode to the floor for the audience. On the podcast, we offer some suggestions on what to consider when creating a theme for the podcast. If you've got an idea on what a Playstation-related podcast's intro should sound like, we'd love to hear it! Contact me, Shadow_Enz, via PM so we can arrange your submissions (p2p transfer, for example). We'd love to hear your sounds and add your style to the show.

Along with the theme, we also need a team for the podcast! The podcast is all about conversation and discussion, and, while talking to oneself may be entertaining, I don't think we need a broadcast of me talking to myself every month. If you care about Playstation and love talking about gaming news, trophies, or the gaming community, please get in touch with me (also by sending me a PM. Here's a link to my profile again: Shadow_Enz)! We discuss this on the podcast, and I'll be accepting audio samples from users. The easiest method for me is to arrange a Skype interview, but if you'd like to supplement an audio sample beforehand, I won't mind receiving those as well. Here are some things to consider when creating your audio sample, if you need something to discuss:

Why do you want to be on the podcast, and why do you think you'd be a great addition to the team?
What kinds of things would you want to hear on the podcast?
How often do you think we should have a podcast?
Tell me about your favorite game and experience with this game.
Tell me your story about how you got into trophies.
Feel free to be liberal with this and discuss other things as well. Again, I prefer Skype interviews, but will be accepting audio samples as well. Hit my inbox!

Now you might wonder why some of the things we dicuss in the podcast may not be current; please bear with us as we had to spend a lot of time making sure to establish the framework for the podcast to be able to bring it to you as you see it. Future episodes of the podcast will be posted very shortly after recording, keeping the discussions and news fresh.

Aside from these things, we also discuss some Playstation news, so give us a listen and see how we feel about these topics! We discuss the Sly Cooper movie, Playstation Now, tacked-on DLC, PS4's success on release, Playstation Plus, Playstation Vita, "Why aren't my trophies scanning?", and more!

Finally, but most importantly, your feedback is important to us. Please feel free to send us fanmail! Any suggestions you'd like to make, stories you'd like to tell about Playstation, or things you'd like discussed on the Podcast, send me a PM! We always want to know what you want to hear, so please don't hesitate to let us know. Even if you don't think your voice would suit the show, what you recommend or suggest could be what the show needs! We'll even give you a shout-out on the show for your fanmail smile

Enjoy the podcast, and please feel free to subscribe to us via RSS or iTunes, give us a good rating, and take a moment to write a quick review. toast You can also bookmark our Podcast Hub to keep up to date on all of our podcasts as they're submitted, or if you fancy direct download, here's where you can accomplish that.

An enigmatic figure, whose biography is narrated by the same voice as most North America movie trailers, Shadow walks a dangerous line in the life of a man who does not exist...

Actually, he's a mild-mannered New Yorker who lives and breathes gaming. He also loves long walks on the beach...

While his biographical strategy may be questionable, this genuine and sincere gamer enjoys all the flavors of life, including all aspects of gaming. Being heavily invested in video games since the dawn of gaming, he usually prefers to experience gaming across multiple platforms through multiple perspectives, but will always feel best at home in an Arcade environment.

Here on TrueTrophies, he's usually writing about important PlayStation announcements and tries to keep up with the daunting abyss of lists in the PlayStation store weekly updates. He usually gets the chance to spread the word about sales that occur on the PlayStation Network, and takes pride in getting out the word of the latest Flash Sales when they occur. However, he's eternally grateful to the entire Newshound family for all their hard work and diligent writing, for he feels that they contribute the most to the site's news.

Under the strong and lovely guidance of Rebecca Smith (aka Punkyliar), he's making himself a home in the Newshound lounge.

He's also the Site Social Manager, Forum Manager, a Moderator and Janitor. If you hear him grumbling down the hall, you'll hear echoes of, "Someone's gotta do the dirty work *grumble grumble*..."

He loves conversation, so if you have anything to say to him, his inbox is always open for comment, criticism, conversation, or even a bit of trolling.
