ORIGINAL STORY:
It has been sought after for some time now, we got a taste of the game with a beta, but now the release date of Planetside 2 has been revealed, and it is very soon. The massive free-to-play FPS has been a huge success on PC for years now and features some of the largest online combat ever created. In fact, they just set a Guiness World Record for "Most Players in a Single FPS Battle" with a mind boggling 1,158 players! Over 1,000 people in a single match, now that is a very impressive feat. You can join in with these massive matches yourself when the game launches later this month, and you won't even need a Playstation Plus subscription either.
We’ve also incorporated some unique features that are currently exclusive to the PS4 version, which for example, include the new battle map, Koltyr. We will continue to further improve and enhance the gameplay experience after launch as well. In the weeks and months following the release on 23/6, players can look forward to frequent game updates, which will include deeper features, holiday events and content, new in-game marketplace items and much, much more.
Planetside 2 will be available to download on Playstation 4 for free on June 23rd, 2015.
