YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z Special Edition Details

By Ashley Woodcock,
Tecmo Koei means business when it comes to spreading the news about its new and upcoming special edition of the incoming hack & slash title, YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z. Stuffed with extra goodies and DLC content, Team Ninja, the developer behind the game, has also unleashed new screenshots and a developer diary to tempt gamers into buying the special edition of the game.

Starting with the details on the special edition, Dark Horse Comics will be supplying an exclusive full colour comic book rammed full of ninja goodness for fans to enjoy. If you happen to be a hardcore fan of another one of Team Ninja's and Tecmo Koei's titles, the fighting joy that is Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, than you'll be pretty pleased with the exclusive Yaiba themed DLC costumes that Ryu Hayabusa and Momiji can both wear in the fighter. Lastly, but most certainly not least to some, an original soundtrack will be available via a download code.

With such exciting content being packed in the special edition of YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z, it's only right that we take a good long look at these new screens. Yaiba Kamikaze takes on Ryu Hayabusa in a ferocious battle of talented sword fighting, mixed with high-flying action, bow-shooting courtesy of Ryu, and plenty more.

Topping off the brilliant screens we've seen, a new developer diary has also been released. Team Ninja's own Yosuke Hayashi and Concept Artist Keiji Inafune speak about the game in Japanese, of course, as we get to see small portions of gameplay, impressive visuals from the special edition and the included comic book. Be sure to switch the captions on for subtitles in your preferred language.

YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z remains set for a Playstation 3 release on March 18th for North America and March 21st for Europe.
