Seldom does a retail title bring you as much downloadable content as Borderlands 2. Will the latest installment bring holiday cheer or have skeptics referencing the "ho ho ho" DLC approach?
In less than a week, fans of the series will be treated to "How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day". The story finds Marcus enlisting the help of the vault hunters to rescue a missing shipment of guns. Along the way, you'll fight new enemies as well as new takes on familiar ones. This all culminates in your showdown with Mister Tinder Snowflake.
Your reward? For starters, you'll get a snowman head with different expressions for each character. Additionally, there's unique holiday-themed costumes, such as a Santa suit for the Gunzerker and an ugly sweater for the Psycho. Let's not forget the overall reward of more gameplay if you enjoy the series.
Fresh off the image viewer, we've got a couple of new screenshots for you to gaze upon.
Additionally, Gearbox designer Josh Jeffcoat sit down with IGN to give players a look at the new areas and enemies in action.
The team at Gearbox mentioned that there will be more Headhunter news to discuss around the first of the year. We'll keep you up-to-date on the details as they're released.
Borderlands 2 "How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day" will become available on December 17th in North America for $2.99 and across the rest of the world on December 18th for £2.39 / €2.99.
