PS5 players are hunting down those Helldivers 2 trophies in droves as more and more players declare it one of the best PS5 multiplayer games around. After having failed to make the top 10 at launch, Helldivers 2 finds itself among the top five most popular PS5 games this week.

Helldivers 2 momentum climbs while Foamstars flounders

With ever more PS5 and PC players trading Helldivers 2 survival tips online, it's no wonder the game has started to skyrocket in popularity. Last week, the first-party shooter landed in 11th place on the chart with fewer active players than Foamstars. Now, Helldivers 2 has overtaken Roblox and competing online shooter Overwatch 2 in popularity — no mean feat at all.
Meanwhile, the delightful little bubble of popularity Foamstars found itself in last week has seemingly popped this week. Previously charting in the 8th place spot, the game has dropped precipitously into 25th.

The other two PS Plus monthly games for February 2024 — Rollerdrome and Steelrising — have also dropped entirely out of the Top 40. Looks like the low active player count for those February 2024 PS Plus games won't be making a recovery any time soon.
Elsewhere on the chart, we've seen the continued rise of Final Fantasy VII Remake's player count ahead of FFVII Rebirth. Plus, the player count for The Last of Us Part II Remastered has started to trend down considerably as players move on to new things.

For all the rest, check out the top 40 PlayStation Chart of the most popular PS5 and PS4 games for the week ending Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Chart compiled using gameplay data from over 3.2 million active PlayStation accounts (not just TrueTrophies accounts). Chart information is copyright GameInsights. Regarding this data:
When an account opens a game, this is registered as a game being played. Accounts can only register a game once per week.
Our data is good for suggesting general trends — we represent this using percentages, not numbers.
