PlayStation 4 owners who are looking to get their wrasslin' fix will be waiting a bit longer, it seems. 2K announced that the new-gen version of their upcoming wrestling title, WWE 2K15 will miss the current gen's October 28th/31st release date and be delayed to November 18, 2014 in North America and November 21, 2014 internationally.
Greg Thomas, the President of Visual Concepts gives the standard answer as to the purpose of the delay:
Visual Concepts and Yuke’s are committed to delivering the most authentic and action-packed WWE experience to date, including release for the very first time on next-generation consoles. The additional development time enables our talented teams to ensure the WWE 2K15 next-gen experience fully meets our expectations.
If you're interested in a bit of industry juice, it is worth noting that this move pushes the new gen version of WWE up against the new gen launch of 2K's behemoth, GTA V, which happens on the same day.
The PlayStation 4 edition of WWE 2K15 is set for a November 18th/21st release in North America/Everywhere Else. The PlayStation 3 version remains set for an October 28th/31st release.
