Can any of PS Plus November 2023's monthly games land in the best PlayStation Plus games? Well, we'll let you be the judge of that this week as Sony's latest batch of three PS5 and PS4 games for PS Plus Essential has been announced.

PS Plus November 2023

Mafia II Definitive Edition, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, and Aliens Fireteam Elite are your PS Plus Essential games for November 2023. Only Aliens Fireteam Elite is available on PS5 as well as PS4 (as per PlayStation Blog). As ever with this month's PS Plus games' dates, the PS Plus Essential games will be available on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

Remember that your three monthly PS Plus games remain in your library for as long as you are a member. So, when the games arrive just add them to your library in case you ever want to play them in the future! You should probably also pick up your PS Plus October 2023 games before Monday, November 6, 2023, as well. So, here are your writeups for all three games!

Mafia II

  • Platform(s): PS4
  • Mafia II time to platinum: 20+ hours
  • Mafia II trophy difficulty: 4/10
If you plan to collect the Mafia II Definitive Edition trophies you'll be heading to Empire Bay in 1943 and playing as Vita Scaletta. This young gent rises through the ranks of the Italian Mafia in a city riddled with mobsters. This is arguably the most acclaimed of the three games in the series and, if you were a subscriber in February 2023, you'll already have the first in your library.

Now we think about it, the original PS3 game was a PS Plus game back in the day too. The Mafia II Definitive Edition platinum trophy isn't an easy ride, but you must make two playthroughs to unlock it. The Definitive Edition is a remaster with fresh graphics and quality-of-life enhancements here and there. While it might not be the leading gangster game, this is a good 20-hour dive into the mobster life and well worth a look if you love the period.

Dragon Ball The Breakers

  • Platform(s): PS4
  • Dragon Ball The Breakers time to platinum: 60+ hours
  • Dragon Ball The Breakers trophy difficulty: 5/10
If you love the anime, I'm sure you'll be all over these Dragon Ball The Breakers trophies. Unfortunately, I'm the writer tasked with giving you a little bit of information about the game, but even having read the game descriptions I am none the wiser. So, I'm a little worried about putting my foot in it, so please forgive me if I do. This is an online asymmetrical co-op game in which up to seven players face against something called "The Raider."

It's third-person action filled to the brim with big hair and blazing powerups that make its characters look like reverse alien ship tractor beams. I don't know if this will be relevant, but the grass is blue in some areas and I feel like someone should get onto that whole situation. The Raider gurns a lot and seems to be massive. Did I do well? You guys let me know in the comments!

Aliens Fireteam Elite

  • Platform(s): PS5, PS4
  • Aliens Fireteam Elite time to platinum: 100+ hours
  • Aliens Fireteam Elite trophy difficulty: 10/10
You'll have a choice if you go for the Aliens Fireteam Elite trophies on PS Plus Essential this month: PS5 or PS4? The only current-gen game of this month is a co-op third-person survival game from Cold Iron Studios under publisher Focus Interactive. It got mixed reviews on release, but I think most fans were quite content with its absurdly hectic co-op.

You'd have thought the swarms of foul creatures you have to shoot would be the health warning I'd have to give you, but no... it's the platinum trophy. Listen, just don't do it to yourself. You have to play the game in the hardest difficulties and if you are doing it solo you just won't manage it. Even if you are doing it with a few others, it is absurdly unfair. So, if you are willing to drop in, just have fun and laugh at the carnage of it all!

If you want to have a look at the games leaving PS Plus, we recommend you get moving on them! So, what do you think of these PS Plus November 2023 games? Are you going to ignore me and go for Aliens? Say what you need to in the comments!
