Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has weirdly nothing to do with new PS Stars gift The new PS Stars Miles Morales collectible might look like its meant to build hype for the upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PS5 — but it's surprisingly not.Lee Brady Published 21 Sep 2023 FollowtopicsPlayStation StarsLee Brady It's still a little early to be collecting Marvel's Spider-Man 2 trophies, so regular PS Stars collectors might be a little surprised to find Spider-Man featured in one of the latest PlayStation Stars campaigns. Well, as it happens, the new PS Stars Miles Morales collectible has next to nothing to do with PS5 games at all, and much more to do with the most recent Spider-Man movie.PS Stars Spider-Man collectible celebrates movie releaseYes, while the release of the latest Marvel's Spider-Man 2 State of Play trailer works to build hype for the upcoming PS5 exclusive, PlayStation Stars is busy promoting an entirely different Spider-Man venture: the Blu-Ray and 4K Ultra HD release of Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse. To our knowledge, its the first time PS Stars has been used to celebrate a movie, although seeing as Across the Spider-Verse was a Sony release, it does make a little sense. To ring in the movie's home release, a new PlayStation Stars campaign named "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse comes home" has been launched, and it includes a pretty spectacular Miles Morales collectible. Curiously, to unlock this Spider-Man collectible, you won't have to purchase the movie on the PS Store or anything (pretty sure that's not something you can even do any more) — you simply have to play any PS5 or PS4 game before Monday, October 23, 2023 to unlock this. It's interesting that the campaign ends just three days after Marvel's Spider-Man 2's release date — after all, by that time, we would like to think a genuine Marvel's Spider-Man 2 collectible would be available on PS Stars. Still, this Miles Morales collectible is pretty neat and is very easy for Spider-Man fans to unlock, so make sure to grab it before it's gone.Your new collectible is ready in the PS App!To add this Miles Morales collectible to your PSN collection, just sign up for PS Stars — you can find all the details on how to do so for free in our PlayStation Stars guide.
