We had an absolute ball collecting all of the Stray trophies and we bet that you will as well. The title is about to leave the PS Plus service indefinitely, so, now seems to be the best time to play Stray on PS Plus Extra — especially after how much praise we gave it in our Stray review.

Stray will leave PS Plus Extra later this month

Stray is a short game that shouldn't take any longer than 10-15 hours to complete. This third-person adventure game sees you parkouring around as an adorable cat as you uncover the mystery of a dystopian city you, unfortunately, find yourself trapped within. Stray is without a doubt, one of the best PS Plus games around and there really isn't a good enough reason why you shouldn't check out — even if you aren't a cat person.
As it stands right now, Stray is on our PS Plus leaving list and will be booted from PS Plus Extra on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Clearly, publisher Annapurna Interactive struck a year-long deal with Sony and that year is coming to an end, leaving our feline friend to slink away from the Game Catalogue. It's a real shame to see this fabulous title leaving us, and it'll be an even bigger shame if it leaves before you ever play it.

It's been over a year since I first played this imaginative cat game, and I still consider it to be one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. Stray was quite unlike anything I had ever played at the time, my go-to games were RPGs like Mass Effect or fighting games like Tekken 7Stray was neither of these things. Stray is unique and charming and I found that I was constantly enthralled as I ventured through this mysterious dystopian world.
We recently discussed the difficulty of Stray's trophy list in our PS Plus Extra and Premium leaving trophies July 2023 article. We gave Stray a bronze trophy for overall difficulty as it shouldn't pose a challenge to anybody who attempts to earn it. There is one missable trophy called 'I am Speed' which asks you to beat the entire game in two hours or less. If anything, this trophy showcases how quickly you can blitz through this game if you really wanted to.

We recommend taking your time and enjoying the overall experience of Stray, there is no need to rush through this excellent title — especially as it is so short. If you decide to give Stray a chance (which you should), we assure you that you won't be disappointed by the engaging and expertly woven story on offer. Stray is short, is leaving PS Plus imminently, has an incredibly easy platinum to earn, and stars a cat in the lead role. Come on now, how can you not want to play this game?

Have you played Stray yet? What are your thoughts on this adorable outing? Do you think we were correct in placing Stray on our best PS5 games list? Disappointed Stray is leaving PS Plus? Let us know all your thoughts and feeling in the comments below!
