So yes, while Friday the 13th the Game's platinum trophy will be discontinued by December 2024, we can at least enjoy a bevy of free DLC the devs have unlocked for us.That's right, players now have access to a plethora of goodies thanks to devs unlocking it all in the wake of the sad news of the Friday the 13th servers closing down. The information, along with a list of all the perks players can make use of was posted on the official Friday The 13th The Game Twitter.Players now have access to 30 Legendary Perks, Jason and all Counsolurs at level 150, all kills unlocked, all challenge skulls unlocked, no more earning XP/CP, and no matchmaking functionality lost. Now, if that isn't a good enough reason to jump back in and earn this platnum, then we don't know what is.What do you make of this? Happy that the developers are trying to make it up fans? Are you sad the servers are closing on this title? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below and make sure to check out our upcoming PS5 server closures guide for more information.Original Story: While you still have a long time to earn the Friday the 13th The Game trophies, we recommend making leeway with them as they aren't exactly quick and easy. It was recently revealed that Friday The 13th The Game will no longer be sold after Sunday, December 31, 2023, when it will be removed from the PS Store and retail shelves. It will be a shame to say goodbye to one of the best PlayStation online multiplayer games around.Friday The 13th will be removed from the PS Store later this year!Friday the 13th The Game to be removed from PS Store in December 2023The news of Friday the 13th The Game's upcoming demise came from the official Twitter page, where a lengthy statement was posted. The devs thanked everyone for their dedication to the game, as well as informing us that until Friday the 13th is removed from the PS Store in December, the game and all of its DLC will be available at a reduced price."The time has come. Our license for Friday the 13th will expire on December 31, 2023. On that date Friday the 13th The Game will no longer be available for sale both physically and digitally."The game will, however, continue to function through at least December 31, 2024, if you already own it. At this time, we've made the decision to reduce the price to $4.99 for the base game and $0.99 for each piece of DLC content."The platinum trophy 'Killer Franchise' sits with a completion rate of 0.10% on PSN, proving to be quite a tedious task for those that undertake it. The platinum isn't necessarily hard, but it is incredibly time-consuming and will require a lot of luck, RNG, and useful teammates. You have trophies that ask you to play as Jason over 1000 times, play as a counselor over 1000 times, escape the map in different ways over 100 times each, and kill 1313 counselors throughout the many matches you will be playing. So yeah, this is why we said it's best to start knocking these trophies out now while you have ample time to do so.Friday the 13th The Game launched back in 2017 for PS4 and has had a nice run all things considered. There was an unfortunate license issue that occurred back in 2020 that stopped the game from receiving regular updates and new content. However, this new situation will see the game completely ripped from digital and physical stores. So, play the game while you still can and make sure to earn that platinum trophy before December 2024. Will you be sad to see this game come to an end?
