The TrueTrophies team has had a look at the games available on the new headset, removed anything currently in the best PS VR games list, and presents you with the ten best games from the list of PS VR2 games. Enjoy!Best PS VR2 gamesBest PSVR2 gamesResident Evil VillagePavlovDemeoHorizon Call of the MountainBefore Your EyesMoss Book IIHumanityGran Turismo 7Kayak VR MirageWhat the Bat?We picked out the list of PS VR2 games using an amalgamation of personal experience, critical response, and the community ratings tab on TrueTrophies. All games for the original PS VR with PS VR2 upgrades have been purposefully omitted in most cases, barring Moss Book II which came out so late into the PS VR lifecycle that it basically soft-relaunched on the PS VR2. If you have any suggestions about what games should be included, let us know in the comments!Resident Evil VillageSo you had a good time collecting the Resident Evil Village trophies on PS5, did you? Well, strap on that PS VR2 headset, because you really should go through the game again in virtual reality with an adult diaper on. For a game that was already great, publisher Capcom has added full support for VR in such a way that it lets this impeccable horror game double as one of the best games for PS VR2 too. You might need more breaks than normal as the game becomes incredibly intense with that level of immersion, but it is an unmissable PS VR2 experience. PavlovHave you ever wanted to have a modern warfare FPS in virtual reality? Dive into those Pavlov trophies and let them guide you through exactly that! From picking up and reloading weapons physically to using the PS VR2's much higher resolution to make enemies less like formless blobs, to using 3D sound to significant effect; Pavlov nails everything it sets out to do. It has really solid multiplayer and crossplay with PS VR2, with an established PC player base from its release there in 2017 to help keep the lobbies populated. This is solidly fun stuff and perfect for a bit of VR adrenaline.DemeoDemeo is a tabletop RPG that was first released on PC, but is now available on PS VR2 with some graphical prowess and the DualSense controllers for playing. If you have some mates to play with — in VR or not — you'll have an awful lot of fun rolling the dice on every run through a dungeon. With several heroes to pick from and a fantasy world to blast through, we think you should spend time collecting those Demeo trophies as soon as possible!Horizon Call of the MountainIf you have a PS VR2, then chances are you've started picking up the Horizon Call of the Mountain trophies. Following a Shadow Carja called Ryas on an expedition in the wilds, you'll be firing bows and killing terraforming robots shaped like animals in no time. With climbing mechanics that thrill even if they are slightly overused and a story that takes a touch too long to get going, this game does struggle to match up to the best Horizon games. However, it is a showstopping PS VR2 game that achieves everything it needs to give you a great feel of the new VR unity, so crack it open and get scrapping. Before Your EyesEvery time you blink, the story moves forward (and you'll probably earn one of the Before Your Eyes trophies). It's a beautiful and poignant gameplay mechanic that is only in use for the 90 minutes you'll be playing the game, making it feel all the more special when all is finished. That makes for a game that is totally unique and can only reach its full potential in VR, making it more than worth a place in our best PS VR2 games list. Plus, it is a great showcase of how VR can move storytelling forward in unique ways — Before Your Eyes is fantastic Moss Book IIOur 'cheat' game on this list because it was originally released on PS VR so late into its lifecycle that it flopped hard, Moss Book II is a fantastic game that thankfully got a deserved soft relaunch for PS VR2. In this fourth-wall platformer, you will be guiding a mouse around levels as a kind of god figure — but you have a significant role to play in the story. Mouse Quill is a simply wonderful protagonist and the hunt for the Moss Book II trophies will bring you through a fantastic adventure. You can almost feel the fabric of the fairytale stories this game was clearly inspired by, making this an easy VR journey to recommend for everyone.HumanityGood luck with the Humanity trophies, your brain is going to be in a twist. On the plus side, you can twist it quite easily if you have PS Plus Extra and a PS VR2 headset. The game is available on the middle tier of Sony's subscription service and is incredibly well-regarded. You can play it in VR, which allows you to get much closer to the Lemmings-like gameplay as you work out how to save humans using a dog. This is a great puzzle game improved by PS VR2 — can you pass the test?Gran Turismo 7Well, we collected those Gran Turismo 7 trophies and drove every car to the limit... we can't do more than that, right? Nope, you need to try PS VR2, as well. Seriously, you need to. Every wonderful inside-the-cabin detail is fully realized and having the headset on really puts you in the mixer of a car on the edge. Seeing your Aston Martin's speed while immersed in the vehicle is just an outrageous thing, but none more so than hearing the roar of the engine or lining up an overtaking using your angle over the bonnet as a measuring stick. Seriously, we loved the game already in our Gran Turismo 7 review, but this is something truly awesome.Kayak VR MirageWho knew taking to the seas in a piece of plastic in a PS VR2 unit could be so fun? Well, go and get those Kayak VR Mirage trophies because it sure is a great time! Relax as you paddle and explore several different environments, from the North Seas to the Canyon rivers — paddle, explore, and paddle some more. With rich water textures and amazing intuitive paddling, this is just the place to go if you want to chill and get fully immersed in the water fun of kayaking. Honestly, we don't know how else to talk about the game — it's wonderful mindfulness! Just don't go out in a storm, that is a sea road to motion sickness, let me tell you. What the Bat?Okay, fine, we kind of cheated with What the Bat? and Moss Book II. But, like the other game, this indie delight was released so far into the original PS VR's lifetime it didn't have the chance to live. Now, in 2023, it's living well with an entry on the best PS VR2 games list. What does it take to earn the What the Bat trophies? Well, you need to be comfortable with playing as a character with baseball bat hands and negotiating situations with it. There, we got you interested, didn't we? Off you go, baseball creature! What do you think of our picks? Are there any that you would add?
