The PlayStation Store is currently hosting the Days of Play 2023 sale which features plenty of discounts. From the games themselves to a pretty substantial PS Plus Days of Play deal, we know that you might need a little help picking what's best! So, here are the TrueTrophies team's picks for the best PS5 and PS4 deals on offer in the Days of Play 2023 sales.

Need for Speed Unbound

A quick warning if you are going to go with my pick: collecting those Need for Speed Unbound trophies isn't like driving through the best racing games on PlayStation. It's just not at that level, but it is a damn good time on PS5 regardless. It's currently on sale for $23.99/£23.99/€26.99 which, frankly, isn't bad at all for a PS5-only racer that will give you at least 40 hours of car-filled fun. Mostly, you should grab this if you are missing the Criterion-style racer (Burnout Paradise, Need for Speed Most Wanted) and are looking for something to top-up your car culture needs for 2023.

Plenty of decal design and under-the-hood tinkering options are available, as well as a small selection of different tuning styles from grip to drift. The weird anime graphics are not my bottle of nitrous, but they are at least an interesting attempt at moving away from the PS4's fascination with red sunset cities in racers. I'd highly recommend grabbing it in the sale now and just enjoying having a good racer this summer!

Sonic Frontiers

Collecting Sonic Frontiers trophies was easily one of my favorite experiences of 2022, even if some of that time was spent laughing at some of the game's jarringly emotional lurches. In trying to break Sonic out of his increasingly tired 3D formula, Sonic Team has managed to create something that actually feels absorbing, new, and genuinely fun. That's not a novelty I would recommend people pay $60/£50/€60 to try... but at a sale price of $35.99/£29.99/€35,99? Yeah, that's definitely a reasonable price for a game this enjoyable.

Lara Croft Go

The Lara Croft Go trophies are fun, quick, and simple. These trophies provide you with an exhilarating puzzle experience featuring everyone's favorite badass heroine, Miss Croft. I would definitely consider this one of the best PS4 games I have personally played — even if it is a pretty short romp, all in all. For £1.59/$1.99 instead of £7.99/$9.99 you really can’t complain about the game’s length, especially when it’s as fabulous as this.

Road 96 Full Journey

Road 96 Full Journey is currently on sale for £13.19/$16.19/€16.19 instead of £21.99/$26.99/€26.99 and comes loaded with one platinum trophy and one with an easy platinum-less list. That’s right, grabbing this bundle gives you access to both the Road 96 trophies and the Road 96 Mile 0 trophies, plus it helps that they are two great games. The Road 96 games themselves are fun, story-driven adventures where you will connect with the characters and world around you as you race toward your next shiny platinum trophy. We are sure you’ll have a wonderful time working through these!
