New Remote Play device called Project Q showcased at PlayStation event

By Sean Lawson,

Project Q is a snazzy-looking handheld device that will allow you to play your PS5 games in the palm of your hand. Just like a PS Vita.

While not the PS Vita 2 that myself, Kes, and Lee were hoping for, Project Q looks like a useful device that can help make playing PS5 games that bit easier for everybody. The device allows you to use remote play over wifi (obviously) and comes with an eight-inch HD screen and all the features of your DualSense controller. We're always happy to see anything that can help us enjoy some of the best PS5 games around.

Project Q isn't the PS Vita 2 like many had hoped

Project Q looks like a sawn-in-half PS5 controller with a nice screen slapped in the middle of it, and, honestly, we kind of love it. While it maybe isn't as impressive as the PS Vita 2, we are sure that this little device will have a bevy of uses for those who decide to pick up Sony's latest piece of kit when it releases, though, the release date is currently unknown.

Jim Ryan also announced some official PlayStation headphones that you can also check out in the reveal trailer embedded down below.
What do you make of Project Q? Will you be picking this up if it releases with an affordable price tag? Let us know your thoughts and feelings in the comments below!
