Helldivers 2 reveals a surprising genre shift to become a third-person shooter in a new PS5 gameplay trailer.

Get ready to blast through some nasty-looking insects in Helldivers 2, which was revealed at the recent PlayStation Showcase. The biggest twist comes with the genre switch-up that many won't have seen coming for this fun franchise. Could this be a new title for our best PS5 games list because of it?

The trailer features a cooky opening with a man's family getting slaughtered, before moving into a fast-paced adrenalin-filled shooter, which is very different for the Helldivers series. We also learned that the game will be coming to PS5 and PC sometime in 2023, though, the exact date is unknown.
