Metal Gear Solid 3 remake for PS5 announced alongside MGS collection

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,

Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is real and Konami has announced it is coming to PS5 alongside an MGS collection at the PlayStation Showcase.

Update: We've since learned the official title of the game is Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, in case you were also wondering how to pronounce that ominous triangle shape right after Metal Gear Solid.

Original Story: While it is called something different, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater (with a weird triangle instead of 3) is real and coming to PS5 alongside a collection from Konami. Hello, best PS5 games list!

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater remake announced for PS5

There is it! One of the biggest PS5 announcements we could have asked for is real — Konami has announced Metal Gear Solid 3 for PS5. The CG-only trailer is gorgeous after a little action from the man himself at the end — Naked Snake. This will be coming to PS5 and it looks like it'll be coming to Xbox Series X|S as well.

The collection is for Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3 for PS5 in August 2023. The simplicity of the tease suggests little work has been done, but we are sure you'll find out more soon. MGS 2 and MGS 3 were delisted a while back in preparation for this launch, and the original MGS is a big deal since it is quite inaccessible. You can check out the trailer below.
