PS Plus' first day one game, Stray, scratches out PS5, PS4 exclusivity

By Sean Lawson,

Day one PS Plus exclusive title, Stray, looks to be leaving its PlayStation exclusivity behind after receiving an age rating for Xbox Series X.

Those Stray trophies may also see an identical set of Xbox achievements arising after Stray received an age rating from the ESRB for both Xbox Series X and Xbox One. While not officially announced by Microsoft or publisher Annapurna, if true, Xbox players are in for one hell of an adorably epic time — something our Stray review discusses in great length.

Stray looks to be leaving behind its PlayStation exclusivity for Xbox

While some strangely dedicated Sony fans may be disappointed to see Stray leaving behind its PS5 and PS4 exclusivity, we are incredibly excited in the knowledge that more people are going to get to experience one of the best PS5 games out there. The news was revealed to us through our sister site TrueAchievements which reported on the ESRB rating.

Stray took the world by storm when it landed on PS Plus Extra back in July 2022, causing a social media craze, winning a Golden Joysticks award, and even saving real-life cats. Now, we can only hope to see the same kind of fun and crazy antics arise once more when Stray hopefully lands on Xbox consoles in the future.
What do you make of this new Stray development? Happy to see more people who may potentially get to play this fabulous game? Disappointed PlayStation is losing one of its exclusives? Do you think Stray is one of the best PS Plus games around? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below!
