Hogwarts Legacy trophies still have a 100% collectible curse on PS5 By Kes Eylers-Stephenson, 11 May 2023 FollowtopicsHogwarts LegacyWarner Bros. Interactive EntertainmentPlayStation 5Kes Eylers-Stephenson The road to platinum on the Hogwarts Legacy trophies is long but achievable; however, a collectibles glitch on PS5 is making it a Cruciatus Curse. Those Hogwarts Legacy trophies are going to take you over 60 hours if you are going fast. However, unfixed 100% collectible glitches are making the Hogwarts Legacy trophies in the PS5 version infuriating for some players hunting for the platinum in one of the best PS5 games.Hogwarts Legacy's platinum is made tricker with a collectible glitchHogwarts Legacy collectible glitches still exist after releaseSo, if you're gunning for the Hogwarts Legacy platinum, you'll need to collect all 603 collectibles in the game for the 'Collector's Edition' trophy. This includes nearly everything aside from some field guide pages: Tools, Enemies, Appearances, Revelio Pages, Beasts, Traits, Wand Handles, Conjurations, Ingredients, and Brooms. However, two glitches have been persistently preventing the Collectors Editon trophy from unlocking as they jam the unlock counter at a value under the 603 collectibles needed. Both issues appear to be PS5 only and one that has supposedly been patched since launch but users are still reporting issues. The first is the 'Follow the Butterflies' glitch that occurs during the so-named side-quest. These Butterflies are unmarked on the map and the player follows them to an unmarked chest location that contains a collectible. If you don't immediately complete the side-quest, but instead find, follow, and collect another butterfly chest on the map, your collectible counter can break and leave you unable to collect the Collector's Editon trophy.Hogwarts Legacy's castle is the game's best-kept secretThe second glitch relates to the game not logging the Traits that you find at bandit camps, though we've noticed reports as late as April 2023 that some vivarium chests and a clock tower chest won't open or are glitched in some capacity. Now, it looks like to fix this you are supposed to keep an eye on if you get the trait/chest item before loading the last save or, in the case of glitched chests, make sure you speak to Deek in the Room of Requirement, change the atmosphere, and the Vivarium chests should reload. However, if you aren't keeping close tabs through all 600 collectibles then in all likelihood you will play until that auto-save is overwritten. There are further issues tracking flying Field Guide Pages, but they aren't relevant to the Collector's Guide. The primary glitch relating to the in-game trackers not working for collectibles was supposed to be resolved by a PS5 patch from February 17th, 2023, but there remains a flood of players with an issue with the trophy still. As of yet, there isn't a resolution beyond reloading autosaves, and instead a player determined to get the platinum would have to play the entire game from scratch and collect everything all over. Even then, those facing some versions of the chest glitches seem to be locked out of the trophy.Hogwarts Legacy trophies still cause a bit of Crucio-like symptoms in playersThe most recent patch notes do emphasize a laundry list of trophy list fixes, but again — the Collector's Edition trophy hunter might run into those glitches. Why is this such a crying shame, then? Because there are 603 collectibles spread out across a massive map and it would take another 50 hours to collect stuff you've already collected. Give us the Cruciatus Curse over that, any day!So, that wraps up what's going on in the world of Hogwarts Legacy map hunting down boxes of new robes!
