Modern Warfare 2 players top Fortnite by 20% on PS5, PS4 games chart By Lee Brady, 20 Mar 2023 FollowtopicsCall of Duty: Modern Warfare IIActivisionChartLee Brady Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 keeps a stable lead over the competition and gains distance from Fortnite on this week's most popular PS5 and PS4 games chart.Players never seem to grow tired of earning Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 trophies as the game holds tight to the top of the PlayStation Gameplay Chart for the 19th week in a row. In fact, looking at the gameplay data of over 3 million PSN accounts, we can see that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2's player count was a fifth higher than Fortnite's this week. This week's PS5 and PS4 gameplay chart leaders.Call of Duty continues to dominate the competition on PS5 and PS4With the new PS Plus games having now settled and with players slowly moving on after collecting all those Hogwarts Legacy trophies, the usual chart leaders of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Fortnite are free once more to fight for first and second place uncontested. That said, Modern Warfare 2 has 21.67% more players than Fortnite, its nearest competitor, so that should dispel any notion of this being a close contest.Battlefield 2042's PS Plus success has kept it safely in the top 5 for another week, although the game did shed 13.34% of its players. If that trend continues for another week, it'll certainly lose ground to GTA 5. If the Battlefield 2042 players stay pretty steady, however, we can see it nudging Hogwarts Legacy out of the number 4 spot, especially since the to-date best Harry Potter game lost 21.68% of its players this week.Elsewhere in the chart, things are rather dry. It looks like WWE 2K22 players are eagerly jumping ship to start collecting WWE 2K23 trophies instead. And The Last of Us TV show's influence on the games can be seen for the last time this year as players flock to both TLOU games in the wake of the HBO show's finale.
