Resident Evil 4 trophies leak brutal challenges for PS5, PS4 release

Resident Evil 4 trophies have leaked ahead of the PS5 and PS4 game's March 24th, 2023 release date and will offer some of the series' most punishing trophies to date.

Resident Evil 4 trophies have been revealed via a recent leak and, even at a glance, it's obvious that this game will feature one of the hardest platinum trophies on PS5 and PS4. We don't yet have the trophy tiers, but we do know that these Resident Evil 4 trophies will require at least three playthroughs to platinum.

RE4's platinum trophy will definitely prove a challenge to unlock.

For many of us, however, it's going to take way more than three playthroughs to get every Resident Evil 4 trophy — we're just working under the presumption that we're talking to the world's greatest RE4 player. The leaked trophy list suggests three minimum playthroughs are required for the game's platinum trophy, tasking players to beat Resident Evil 4 on Standard mode, Hardcore mode, and Professional mode with an S+ rank. Although if you want to keep the level of playthroughs down, you'll need to do all that and more.

For example, you'll also need the beat the game without using a recovery item (Frugalist), within 8 hours of playtime (Sprinter), and without using any weapon other than the handgun and the knife (Minimalist). Players who have earned all of the Resident Evil 2 trophies will likely be shrugging at these challenges, though there is one task no player is prepared for: beating Resident Evil 4 without talking a single time to the Merchant (Silent Stranger). That's it, this trophy list is officially unbeatable.

Sharpen your knives — you're in for the long-haul.

You'll also need to keep an eye out for every treasure in all three of the game's locations because you'll only get the Bandit, Raider, and Burglar trophies if you find them all in a single playthrough.
