The original PS VR title was a free game on PS Plus in November 2021 and, of course, we all nabbed the title while we could — even if we didn't own a PS VR headset at that time. Unfortunately, this means we are not entitled to a free PS VR2 upgrade, as the standard version of the PS VR game was given to PS Plus members. So, if you own it through PS Plus, you will need to pay $10 to upgrade The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners from PS VR to PS VR2. Those of you who also purchased the standard version of the game — not through PS Plus — will also have to pay to upgrade. However, if you own the Tourist Edition of the game, you are entitled to a free PS VR2 upgrade. This entire situation has been confusing when it comes to who is and who isn't entitled to a free PS VR2 upgrade. For the longest period of time, it was believed that PS Plus owners would be able to upgrade The Walking Dead at no extra cost, alas this is not the case. Although all of this has been a rollercoaster, it's nice to now have concrete information on the matter and the game looks to be quite the extensive upgrade — so, maybe the $10 fee will be worth it.
